I am responsible for the determination of the precious metals content of customer samples. I am also responsible for the repair of several furnaces used by the lab.
I assisted The Captain, Chief Mate, and Crew with all shipboard operations. These operations include anchoring, docking/undocking, watchkeeping, navigation, boat drills, safety inspections, deck inspections, maintenance, ballast operations, stability, loading plans, cargo watches, cargo inspections, loading of stores and equipment, safety meetings, security meetings, training, heavy lift operations, line handling, tug escort operations, pilotage preperation, gangway operations, and pilot embarkation/disembarkation.
Responsible for the safe operation, and navigation of the company workboat. Inspection, repair, Installation, and removal of customer moorings. I was also tasked with the upkeep of the companies vessel and insuring that it was well stocked. I also would dive in search of lost moorings, and inspect and repair moorings that were to large to be handled by the workboat. I completed diving repairs on customer vessels as well.
Responsible for the upkeep of the warehouse, shop, and equipment, this included compressors, lifts, overhead doors, and the painting booth. I was also responsible for assisting with the repairs and painting of the rental forklift fleet. I was also tasked with shipping/receiving duties, deliveries, assisting road technicians when needed, scrap removal and salvage, and painting the building.
